Chair at TUM

It is now impossible to imagine business without the Internet. Therefore Roland Berger and O2 set up the chair for"Internet-based Information Systems" (today: "Decision Sciences and Systems")The chair conducts research on managerial decision and planning problems as well as on the foundations of auctions, social choice, and game theory. The chair is held by Prof. Martin Bichler.

Prof. Bichler has taught and conducted research at the Universities of Vienna and Berkeley. From 2001 to 2003 he was research staff member in the Deep E-Commerce team from the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, New York.

He has conducted and published research in the areas of supply chain management, electronic markets, distributed systems, and operations research and is on the editorial board of the Electronic Commerce Research Journal. He has designed and developed several software packages.
