Nederlands Dans Theater – The Netherlands
Roland Berger Amsterdam had been involved with the Nederlands Dans Theater as a member and sponsor of their society for several years.
Then in 2006, the idea was born to provide a workshop for young business professionals. The "Anders Denken" (think differently) workshop took place in the rehearsal studios of the Nederlands Dans Theater. This provided an inspiring atmosphere where a group of young professionals enthusiastically took on the strategic challenges the Nederlands Dans Theater was facing. During the workshop, participants under the supervision of Roland Berger consultants developed a new strategy for the theater. This strategy allowed them to develop their position as a cultural A brand while simultaneously increasing their profitability.
The diverse professional backgrounds of the participants produced new and valuable strategic insights. The collaboration also exposed the participants to a cultural, yet professional environment that most of them were previously unfamiliar with.
