Roland Berger Strategy Consultants votes for expanded executive committee

  • Dirk Reiter and Vincent Mercier appointed to global Executive Committee
  • Internationalization is making progress

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has expanded its top management: Dirk Reiter (40) and Vincent Mercier (55) have been appointed additional Partners on the company's Executive Committee (EC). Based in Munich, Dirk Reiter leads the global InfoCom Competence Center and is responsible for the firm's knowledge management. Vincent Mercier is based in Paris and manages the company's business in France and Belgium. The appointments made by the company's Partners at the last shareholder meeting are effective immediately.

Dr. Burkhard Schwenker (46), Antonio Bernardo (45), Thomas Eichelmann (39) and Dr. Martin Wittig (40) continue as members of the EC. Dr. Schwenker, formerly the EC Spokesman, was unanimously elected Chief Executive Officer. Antonio Bernardo continues as his deputy.

"We are expanding our management team to better support the increasingly international focus of our business and to intensify collaboration with our clients on this level," says Burkhard Schwenker.

Dirk Reiter studied electrical engineering. Since 1988, he has held various management positions at Hewlett-Packard, including head of international IT projects. He joined Roland Berger in 1993 and was appointed Partner in 1997. He has also been head of the global InfoCom Competence Center since 1995. His consulting focus includes strategy, process organization, sales and marketing, and e-business. Reiter has made a name for himself with strategic transformation projects in telecommunications, information technology and the media.

Vincent Mercier holds degrees in business and engineering. His career includes executive positions at the large French companies Wagons-Lits and Carrefour. At Arthur D. Little and A.T. Kearney, Mercier gained experience in the consulting industry. In addition, he taught strategy and organization at HEC and ISA, the leading French business schools. In 2003, Mercier joined Roland Berger as Managing Partner, taking over responsibility for the Paris office. The focus of his consulting work is on global strategy and organizational projects, especially in consumer goods and retail.
