Torsten Oltmanns appointed new principal and global marketing director

Torsten Oltmanns (39) will take over the position of Global Marketing Director at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants on October 1, 2004. In this role, Oltmanns will be in charge of operational brand management, strategic alignment and implementing global marketing for the strategy consultancy. He will work from the firm's Hamburg and London offices.

Oltmanns, with a background in business and journalism, currently works for management consultancy Booz Allen Hamilton. He previously managed the reform process at Germany's Ministry of Defense. Oltmanns started his career in consultancy at McKinsey Germany, where he established and expanded the Marketing Communications division from 1996 to 2001.
