Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is opening a Japan Desk in the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. Japanese consultants with international experience will support Japanese companies in their activities in Europe. These consultants are familiar not only with the special characteristics of the Japanese market, but also the conventions of the European market. Approximately 80 representatives of Japanese companies in Germany will participate in today's opening ceremony in Düsseldorf. Japanese business leaders and Roland Berger consultants will use the occasion to highlight the success enjoyed by Japanese companies abroad.
"Recently, the number of Japanese companies that wish to expand their European operations has increased dramatically and will continue to rise. This trend is also due to greater economic interdependence around the globe," explains Satoshi Nagashima, Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants who is now in charge of the Japan Desk.
Approximately 80 representatives of Japanese companies in Germany are expected to take part in the opening ceremony for Roland Berger's Japan Desk. Toshitaka Hagiwara, former Chairman of the Board at the Japanese company Komatsu, will report on the company's expansion as a leader in construction machinery manufacturing. Isao Endo, Chairman of Roland Berger Tokyo, will discuss how Japanese companies can efficiently expand their foreign business. Using examples from the automotive industry, Nagashima will show how Japanese companies can successfully do business in Central and Eastern Europe.
