Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is inviting Munich to the first "RB After Work Classics": Thursday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the HighLight Towers, Mies-van-der-Rohe-Str. 6, Munich. Europe's "highest concert hall" will feature soloists of international caliber playing rediscovered baroque works: Dorothee Oberlinger (recorder), Rüdiger Lotter (baroque violin), Sebastian Hess (baroque cello) and Olga Watts (cembalo). Media partner Bayerischer Rundfunk will document this exclusive musical experience.
"Music, particularly classical music, inspires the listener and broadens his or her horizons – that's why we are especially pleased to be able to offer this exclusive musical experience at our headquarters high above the rooftops of Munich," said Dirk Reiter, member of the global Executive Committee of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Head of the Munich office.
The soloists
Dorothee Oberlinger studied recorder in Cologne, Amsterdam and Milan. She is one of the top recorder players in the world, and was honored in 2008 as "Instrumentalist of the Year" with the "Echo Klassik" music award for her CD "Italian Sonatas". Rüdiger Lotter has quickly established himself as an extremely versatile baroque violinist, one of the foremost players in his field. Sebastian Hess (baroque cello) studied at the music conservatories of Würzburg and Munich. He often collaborates with many modern composers, including Wolfgang Rihm, Jörg Widmann, Rodion Shchedrin, Mikis Theodorakis and Hans Werner Henze. Since 2000, Hess has been increasingly active as a composer, producer and event organizer. Olga Watts (cembalo) is a highly sought-after specialist for basso continuo and chamber music. As a cembalo accompanist, she has made appearances at the international Bach Competition Leipzig, the ARD competition in Munich and the Festival van Vlaanderen in Bruges.
