Roland Schwientek
"Breaking new ground"
Roland decided to start a new career while listening and talking to a former Partner at a presentation on low-cost country sourcing. At the time, he was working as a purchasing manager for Central and Eastern European production materials.
Upon joining Roland Berger, he started to focus on developing concepts rather than working on purely functional tasks. This new focus exceeded his expectations. Today, he helps clients break new ground, for example by applying best practice in new industries, improving performance or redesigning organizational footprints.
In his spare time he enjoys sailing, and invites all keen sailors to join him on his Atlantic voyages.
