Setting up an effective personnel strategy
2011
The article looks at the "Personnel strategy for savings banks" project, which was carried out together with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
The personnel strategy, based on corporate strategy and refined by DSGV (Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband) serves a lighthouse function for decentralized units. The ultimate goal is to enable these units to set up their personnel in a more efficient and systematic way.
The project included 19 savings banks and 7 regional representatives from the various personnel departments. All committees, including the DSGV board, were very satisfied with the results. The project emphasizes the importance of strategic personnel topics while making managers more aware of the relevant issues.
