Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker (born 1958) is Chief Executive Officer of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. He took over this function from the company's founder Roland Berger in 2003 and was elected for a second term by the Partners in December 2006.

Following his studies of business administration (Dipl. Kfm.) and mathematics, his career start at PWA Papierwerke Waldhof-Aschaffenburg AG and the completion of his Ph.D., he joined Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 1989. At Roland Berger he built up the Hamburg office and was elected Partner in 1992. In terms of know-how, he stands for strategy, organization and corporate transformation.

Burkhard Schwenker regularly lectures at several business schools and universities. He was granted an honorary professorship for strategic management at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management. In addition, he is an active member of Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Marketing und Unternehmensführung, Gesellschaft für Unternehmensgeschichte and the German Council on Foreign Relations.

Burkhard Schwenker is socially committed as a member of the following Boards of Trustees: WWF World Wide Fund for Nature, German Sports Aid Foundation and the German Athletics Federation, Stiftung zur Förderung der Semperoper Dresden, "Lebendige Stadt", The Stifterverband, Wertekommission e.V. and berufundfamilie gGmbH – an initiative of the non-profit Hertie Foundation. He is also a member of Atlantik Brücke e.V.

Burkhard Schwenker is married, has three children and lives in Hamburg.
