Construction materials

We have expertise along the entire value chain for construction materials. Our clients include SMEs and large corporations, family-owned and listed companies, local and international players, in all segments of the industry.

In brief

The construction materials industry is showing a varied pattern of development. The mortgage crisis in the US and UK has had a negative impact on the industry. Business in Eastern Europe is booming, by contrast, driven by the shortage of living space – demand for living space will nearly triple in Russia over the next 20 years. In Germany, new non-residential construction is developing positively, while new residential construction is in steady decline.

Our approach

We help our clients develop successful approaches for all types of projects, from raw materials to finished products. Typical topics include:

  • Consolidation/post-merger integration
  • Globalization, especially for Western European firms going east
  • Sales-up, i.e. increasing sales and marketing efficiency
  • Supply-chain management and logistics
  • Strategic business model development and restructuring

Our global network is a vital element in our success in the construction materials industry. We use our international resources and industry experts to set up individual teams for each project. These teams consist of highly talented individuals, whose industry and consulting experience guarantees that we can generate tangible value for our clients. Numerous successful projects in the past decade have made us a leading player in the construction materials arena. In close cooperation with our clients, our teams develop and implement creative strategies that work.
