Ulrich Geuss
Ulrich Geuss joined us in January 2011 with more than 20 years experience in the banking industry. He is responsible for all aspects of controlling and accounting in the Financial Services Competence Center. He will advise and support both domestic and leading international banks in their future realignment and in making the necessary adjustments to stricter capital requirements and growing regulatory constraints.
In his banking career, Ulrich specialized early in controlling, risk controlling and accounting. He was responsible for these areas at Deutsche Postbank AG from 1999 through 2008. From August 2008, he headed the Finance Division at HSH Nordbank and was instrumental in helping promote the bank's strategic realignment and the necessary capitalization. In his position on the Accounting Interpretations Committee (AIC) of the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany and the Association of German Public Banks (VÖB), he played an active role in designing the new financial reporting standards under HGB and IFRS. He also successfully designed and managed numerous transformation projects on the introduction of SAP and the implementation of IFRS.
