The topic of "healthcare" has become increasingly important in recent years. The reasons for this include rising health awareness, ageing populations and the increasing importance of prevention. Health is a key resource in our society: The economy needs capable and healthy workers to remain competitive.

Changes in our society's values are fueling the demand for healthcare-related products and services, which go beyond conventional healthcare, and are changing markets, industries and consumption. New markets are cropping up and new growth and employment potential is developing. This all means new opportunities for entrepreneurs.

As a result, "healthcare" is moving into other spheres of life: food and travel have already been marketed as health relevant for some time now. Aspects of healthcare are becoming more and more important for things such as clothing and living. Numerous other sectors are set to follow: patients are becoming health-aware consumers. Healthcare is a market of the future – for companies of all sizes. Those that understand the customer's needs and desires will be able to enter new and attractive business segments.
