Hans Joachim Kopp

Dr. Hans Joachim Kopp has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry including 10 years in Russia. He joined Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 1995 and since then has been actively developing the international oil and gas practice of the firm. He was based in Germany and the UK. Dr. Kopp advised global leaders in oil, gas and power industry on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, organization structure, governance, performance, and sales channel optimization.

Prior to joining the Russian team of Roland Berger he headed corporate development for E.ON and was responsible for E.ON corporate strategy, strategic development of business segments, corporate structure and performance, E.ON group technology strategy and post merger integration of new businesses in Russia, Spain and Italy.

Working with global leading companies, Dr. Kopp has gained vast expertise in refining, petrochemicals, fuels marketing, logistics, power generation, power distribution and networks, heat, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green technologies.

He studied in Germany, UK, and France; has a Ph.D. in Finance and a Master degree in Business Administration from WHU-Otto-Beisheim School of Management.
