At Roland Berger's recruiting event entitled "start.ing2010", participants will work on a project where the goal is to strategically realign the client. The event is designed for university students in their fourth semester or higher, graduates and technical PhDs as well as professionals with up to two years of professional experience and an engineering background. The workshop will be held from July 2 to 4 in Munich. Those interested should apply by June 6 at www.starting.rolandberger.com

"As a strategy consultancy that advises its clients worldwide, we need highly qualified engineers," says Dirk Reiter, Member of the Berger Strategy Consultants' Executive Committee. "Especially those engineers that are interested in business are ideal candidates for consultants at our company." In 2010 alone, Roland Berger will be looking for up to 50 graduates with technical degrees in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The international strategy consultancy is hosting its fifth recruiting workshop for engineers. Engineers interested in learning firsthand how consulting works need look no farther than start.ing2010.

How can an international manufacturer of special machines for the packaging market optimize its production portfolio, positioning, growth potential, sales organization and services to remain competitive? The participants of start.ing2010 will have to address these questions and, with the help of experienced consultants, develop solution strategies. Afterwards, the participants will present their results to the board of directors to convince the client of their concept.

While working on the project, the participants will be able to familiarize themselves with the methods used by consultants and discover whether consulting is for them. Furthermore, during the recruiting workshop, participants have the opportunity to spend time at Roland Berger's headquarters in Munich and take a look behind the scenes of a strategy consultancy. The variety of leisure activities organized gives participants the chance to speak to Roland Berger employees and gather information about their personal career prospects.

start.ing2010 is designed for engineering students from their fourth semester onwards, plus graduates, PhD students and professionals from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We expect applicants to have excellent grades and practical work experience, ideally in a business context. Participants who demonstrate strong performance at start.ing2010 have good prospects for a career at Roland Berger.
