Munich, July 13, 2011
Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has opened a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The strategy consultancy now has 43 offices in 31 countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America, North Africa and the Middle East.
"Opening our new office in Kuala Lumpur signifies another step of Roland Berger's continuous global expansion and our dynamic development, especially in Asia," says Martin Wittig, CEO of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. "Having inaugurated our office in Singapore just last year, we can now support our clients in the flourishing Southeast Asian economies even more effectively."
The new Kuala Lumpur office, along with the Singapore office, will work with Roland Berger's experts from around the world to provide international services in various industries to multinational clients in the region. "This large non-BRIC market is increasingly attracting interest and investments from multinationals," says Anthonie Versluis, Managing Partner of the Kuala Lumpur office, and a veteran in the consulting business. "There are many promising sectors in Malaysia including financial services, infrastructure development and transportation."
The new Southeast Asian Practice will tap into these fast-growing markets while at the same time closing a gap in Roland Berger's Asian coverage. "Roland Berger has been practicing in Asia for more than twenty years now, and we have demonstrated our strong commitment and major contribution to the region," says Charles-Edouard Bouée, Senior Partner and President of Asia at Roland Berger. "Our offices in Asia have grown dynamically, especially in the past couple of years. With our new office in Kuala Lumpur, we will certainly be able to offer even more comprehensive services to our multinational and local clients."
