Dr. Hermann Wagner is appointed to Senior Advisor in the Financial Services Competence Center

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants appoints Dr. Hermann Wagner to Senior Advisor in the Financial Services Competence Center. Starting in July 2008, Wagner will be supporting the strategy consultancy at the national and international level. The 51-year-old banking expert can look back on a 25-year career in financial center Frankfurt. He is a Professor at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

The 51-year-old banking expert from Frankfurt was Partner at Ernst & Young until a year ago, and will continue managing a global E&Y engagement for one of Germany's largest banks until June 2008. Wagner is also a Professor of Financial Management at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. His courses cover the wide range of financial and capital market skills that bank managers must master in today's complex market environment.

Wagner can look back at a successful career that spanned a quarter of a century in the financial city of Frankfurt. After studying business, he began his career in 1983 at Peat Marwick (today KPMG), where he worked until 1998, ultimately as branch manager. In 1999, he became Regional Managing Partner at Arthur Andersen, where he was also responsible for heading their financial services division in Germany. After the company merged with Ernst & Young, Wagner continued in this function as a board member of Ernst & Young AG. In addition, he was also a member of numerous E&Y global and European committees.

His responsibilities will cover all issues concerning compliance and governance, plus strategic finance, business modeling, risk management as well as capital markets and transaction management.
