Roland Berger Strategy Consultants welcomes new international Partners

  • Seven new Partners named, four of them in Germany
  • Two Partners moved up to the next Partner level

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has welcomed seven new people to the ranks of its international Partners. The new Partners are located in various offices from Moscow to Tokyo; four of them are stationed in Germany. Furthermore, two Partners were promoted to the next Partner level. With these new Partners, who were officially introduced and welcomed at the International Partner Meeting in Amsterdam, Roland Berger expands the number of owners of the strategy consultancy and strengthens its global presence.

Vladimir Boroutski (38) has been working for Roland Berger's energy and chemicals practice in Moscow since 1998. After studying economics at the University of Oldenburg, he went on to earn his MSc in business administration from Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra University. His professional focus is on oil and energy.

Dr. Andreas Dietze (36) has been supporting the InfoCom Competence Center in Düsseldorf since the start of 2009. He studied information technology with a focus on business at Koblenz-Landau University and earned his doctorate at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar. Over the past ten years, he held various positions at a leading American consultancy in Düsseldorf. His consulting expertise covers the IT services industry as well as IT management in the energy, pharma/healthcare and financial services sectors.

Norbert Dressler (37) has been with the Automotive Competence Center in Stuttgart since 2001. He studied design, engineering, business and law at Pforzheim University from 1994 to 1998, specializing in organization and business information technology. He subsequently went on to work for a leading international management consultancy. His specialty within the Automotive Competence Center is the commercial vehicles industry. His functional expertise encompasses topics involving development, purchasing, restructuring and efficiency improvement.

Dr. Michael Lukarsch (40) is part of the restructuring team in the Corporate Performance Competence Center in Hamburg. He studied business management in Munich, San Diego, Passau and Barcelona before earning his doctorate (Dr. rer.pol.) in 1996 at the University of Passau. After starting his career with an international strategy consultancy, he served as CEO of logistics company Hoyer International from 2008 until joining Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. His consulting expertise covers the service industries, especially logistics, and manufacturing.

Tim Manasseh (48) is the UK Lead Partner for Consumer Goods & Retail. After graduating with a BSc (Hons), he worked at Procter & Gamble from 1982 to 1990 in sales, retail marketing and PMI. From 1990 to 2006, he was Partner and UK Head of Consumer Markets for a leading international consultancy. Most recently, he served as Vice President Europe, Middle East & Africa at an international customer management and consulting organization from 2006 to 2008. His consulting focus includes sales and retail marketing management, post-merger integration, fast moving consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and financial services as well as commercial strategy, sales effectiveness and customer management.

Bill Upton has been working as a Partner in the London office in the restructuring area since the beginning of the year. After earning his MBA from London Business School in 1987, he held executive positions at several companies, including Rolls-Royce Plc. and SC Johnson. Before joining Roland Berger, he worked as a partner in the London restructuring practice of a leading international consultancy. His consulting focuses are restructuring and performance improvement in numerous sectors. These include retail and consumer goods, construction, infrastructure, utilities, telecommunications, aviation, aerospace and the UK public sector.

Peter Wimmer (44) has been part of the InfoCom Competence Center in Munich since May 2009. After studying business management at Munich's Ludwig-Maximilians-University, he became a banker for Reuschel & Co. He also held positions as CEO and partner at a private equity company and worked for international leading management consultancies. Before joining Roland Berger in 2009, he was Managing Director and CFO at Cluster Capital Partners, where he was in charge of their European business. His industrial expertise includes telecommunications, technology, media and private equity. His functional competence covers strategy, turnaround and transformation programs as well as M&A and value management.

Elected to the next Partner level:

Takashi Hirai (44) works for the Corporate Performance Competence Center at the Tokyo office. He earned a Master's degree in business administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1995. His previous consulting experience includes working for a leading international strategy consultancy plus positions as Marketing Director for Dell Japan and Chief Marketing Officer for Crayfish Co., Ltd. Before joining Roland Berger six years ago, he was an executive in the Corporate Planning Division at Starbucks Coffee Japan Ltd. His consulting focuses include restructuring, EPHT and retail companies.

René Seyger (43) helped found the Amsterdam office in 2002. He is responsible for the restructuring, transportation and automotive sectors in the Dutch market. He holds an MBA from Twente University and successfully completed a corporate restructuring course at the Institute of Finance in Amsterdam in 2004. He has 20 years of consulting experience with leading international consultancies.
