What is RSS?
How can you find out about new content on the Roland Berger Strategy Consultants website without visiting it on a regular basis? The answer is quite simple: with RSS (RDF site summary).
RSS provides the opportunity to keep you up to date about new articles. We put together an overview of the content changes on our website containing new articles' headlines and the relevant links. This overview is in XML format that you can read by subscribing to them with the newsreader tool.
The RSS newsreader is different from the others because it can be configured the way you like; you can decide which sources you would like to read and how often you would like to read them. The newsreader then reads the newsfeeds you have subscribed to and informs you of new entries. If you are interested in a new article, simply click on the link to open it in the browser.
In order to subscribe to topic-specific channels enter the following address into the RSS newsreader.

RSS desktop newsreaders
There are quite a lot RSS newsreaders (aggregators) around. Windows users could try the free program Feedreader or have a look at this list. Mac users could try the free program NetNewsWire or have a look at this list
RSS web-based newsreaders
The number of web-based news aggregators grows on a daily basis. Popular services are Bloglines, Google Reader or Netvibes. All web based aggregators require you to register once in order to offer you personalised feeds. Here is a list of web-based aggregators.
