At the recent Qingdao International Finance Forum, our Chinese finance experts teamed up with the Financial Times China to spread the word of Roland Berger China's banking expertise.
Awards for best Chinese banks
Last Thursday at the Financial Times China's International Finance Forum in Qingdao, the FT and Roland Berger China announced the winners of the FT's "China Banking Industry Achievement Award".
Roland Berger's financial experts and specialists from the industry, academia, and the FT had studied 143 domestic banks, four state-owned banks, 13 joint-stock banks, 126 city commercial banks and 196 registered international commercial banks and had singled out eleven Chinese banks for their outstanding achievement in eleven categories. Top performers include China Merchants Bank, who was named best retail bank, Bank of China as the best private Bank, and Bank of Ningbo as the Best City Commercial Bank.
In Qingdao, one of the country's fourteen open coastal cities, our Hongkong Partner Alain Le Couédic was the award ceremony's MC, providing an audience of over 200 top executives, scholars, government officials and media representatives with the reasons why the winning banks had made it in their categories. Charles-Edouard Bouée presented the awards along with Qingdao's vice mayor and FT executives.
That same day, Partner John Qu from our Shanghai office, Alain Le Couédic and Charles-Edouard Bouée joined the panel discussions at the forum. Our finance experts also seized the opportunity to distribute their latest think:act CONTENT on China's banking industry.
