Patrick Müller-Sarmiento heads the global Consumer Goods & Retail practice and is part of Roland Berger's extended global management team as the member for Health & Consumer. With a seat on the Innovation Board, Müller-Sarmiento also supports the consultancy develop its future business portfolio. This includes highly innovative strategies and services that support companies throughout the process of digitalizing their business models while also taking the necessary steps towards a sustainable economy.
In 2012, Patrick Müller-Sarmiento left Roland Berger to join a leading retail chain, initially as a member of the management board. After proving himself to be a natural leader, he then became CEO in 2016, a role to which he concluded with the sale of the corporation to an investor. His responsibilities encompassed food and non-food procurement, quality management, as well as marketing new and exciting business activities and opportunities. Müller-Sarmiento’s relentless work ethic led to the establishment of multiple digital platforms and redesigned the brick-and-mortar store outlets. Müller-Sarmiento had previously spent ten years, from 2002 until his departure in 2012, working for Roland Berger as a senior partner, heading the Consumer Goods & Retail sector.
