Gustavo do Canto Lopes is a Partner at Roland Berger’s São Paulo office. His work focuses on infrastructure, restructuring and private equity. Gustavo has managed numerous projects covering several modes of transportation and infrastructure, including urban, regional and intercity trains, buses, subways and airports, as well as energy generation including renewables, transmission, distribution, commercialization and a wide range of issues, such as corporate strategy, restructuring, performance improvement, buy and sell-side merger & acquisitions, and due-diligence. He originally joined Roland Berger’s Lisbon office in 2001 before transferring to Madrid and later São Paulo. For 5 years, he worked as Director of Investments for Latam and as Country Manager for a large family office based in São Paulo with investments in Energy, Oil & Gas, Agribusiness, Real Estate, Logistics and Tourism. During this time, he also served as a board member and Chairman of several mid- sized companies. Gustavo rejoined Roland Berger in 2015. He holds an Economics degree from Nova School of Economics and an MBA from Stanford University.
