Isao Endo joined Roland Berger in 2000 and now serves as Chairman of the firm’s Japan offices. From 2006 to 2011, he was a member of the Supervisory Board. One of Isao’s greatest accomplishments is the successful reorganization of the Tokyo office. Though he started with only five consultants, today the office is a major player in the Japanese market. With rich experience in strategy development for the manufacturing industry and the service industry, as well as marketing strategy and business / operational restructuring, he provides a wide range of support for Japanese companies trying to establish global competitiveness.
Among his key projects were a channel restructuring strategy for a leading car manufacturer in Japan, establishing a sales & channel strategy for engineering products at a leading Japanese high-tech parts supplier and designing a global strategy for a leading truck manufacturer. Before joining Roland Berger, Isao worked as Vice President and Director for an American strategy consulting firm in Tokyo. Isao holds an MBA from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, where he specialized in Marketing. Isao is the author of several very popular books, such as Cultivating Gemba Power and Visualization.
