Miriam van Straelen has been a Partner in Roland Berger's Digital Team (Roland Berger N3XT) since April 2022. She specializes in building and growing digital businesses and solutions, helping companies create and implement sustainable business models and strategies. Overall, she has more than 20 years of experience in consulting and digital business (mainly in B2C, B2B, and B2B2C e-commerce and online payments) and has held leadership positions at leading international companies.
Over the past 15 years, Miriam has built customer-centric organizations and implemented processes to ensure customer experience optimization and solution orientation. She has helped digital businesses achieve sustainable growth by increasing customer activity, retention, and satisfaction, and optimizing conversion. She has achieved this because of her holistic view of the customer experience, which she examines and accompanies from start to finish. This includes understanding the challenges of the customer, choosing the right approach and contact points, developing a tailored customer journey, offering the right products and services, equipping the checkout with the appropriate payment methods, and designing the after-sales processes so that the customer becomes a regular one.
Miriam studied International Business Management at the European Business School (ESCP) in Paris, Oxford, and Berlin and holds three degrees. She has also earned several certificates in General Management, Digital Transformation, and Leadership Studies.
