After completing the master's program in The School of Science at The University of Tokyo, Takashi Hirai worked for several companies, including Bain & Company, Dell and Starbucks, prior to joining Roland Berger.
He has abundant experience in the development and implementation of competitive strategy, sales and marketing strategy for many clients in engineered products and high tech industries (EPHT). In recent years, he has been heavily involved in the turnaround of medium-sized companies and organizational reform. He is the leader of the EPHT team of Tokyo office within Roland Berger.
Takashi Hirai holds an MBA from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD from Waseda University
