  1. What will the construction industry look like in 2020? What role does digitalization play?
In my opinion, the digitalization will transform the construction industry entirely. 2020 will be a tipping point for central Europe. By that time the first measurable results on the impact of BIM will be accessible. The efficiency increase of cost, time and resources will unleash a chain reaction of acceptance and demand on the market.

  2. What is your business model? What makes you and your company unique?
We focus on a holistic approach and deliver practical solutions over the entire lifecycle of a customer's project. Our USP is the combination of our BIM expert skills together with innovative technologies. We believe in the “K.I.S.S.” method - Keep It Simple and Smart. We offer bespoke digital solutions for our customers’ profile.

  3. What is your company vision (5 years)?
Our vision is to make BIM Management the new standard in Europe. Our mission is to build up our brand in the field of BIM Management. The workflows and the handling for BIM projects are far too complex. We simplify BIM projects through our standards, innovations and our approach close to Occam's Razor. This ancient principle states that entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily.

  4. What does your revenue model look like?
We are consulting, developing and executing in three service fields. Our BIM consulting ranges from the first analysis via BIM Implementation through to controlling the operative workflow. Our Quality Management advises our customers in the field of BIM model checking and process controlling. The NUCE Indoor Mapping is a rapid solution to digitize a building with up to 40.000m2 per day and deliver the results browser based - here we develop and work in close cooperation with our partner NAvVis. Our BIM Management is a combination of all our services to the benefit of the customer.

  5. How is your company funded?
So far, we have financed the company through the projects we have taken on. Our focus is steady growth. The high quality of every project we engage in, is based on our fundamental values. We are building up a fourth section of our services, for which we are looking for similarly-minded investors.

  6. As a start-up, what is your next goal? What partners do you need?
Scale - and we are in for the long-term. We want to grow our relationships into long-term partnerships. We are always looking to combine our skill sets with other innovations. For example: We digitized the trade fair exhibition for the Fraunhofer Institute at the BAU 2017 in Munich to create a digital twin. This project generated many interesting discussions and we met new interesting partners.

  7. Who are your key clients?
Real estate companies and facility management companies, but also banks, investors and insurance companies

  8. What are the biggest challenges your clients are currently facing?
The digital transformation itself is a game changer and by itself the biggest challenge. The range of possibilities and empty promises is huge. Finding your own path as a company is the goal. Our clients’ vision can be our mission.

  9. What options do you offer to potential clients to face their challenges (e.g. workshops, coachings)?
Our projects start with a kick-off workshop. This is the starting point of consulting and developing the entire engagement. As we focus on process-based working, it is our goal to generate learning curves over the project's timeline and to create company BIM standards.

  10. What prerequisites (e.g. infrastructure, trained personnel, etc.) do your clients need to bring?
Our clients need to have an open mindset, wanting to increase efficiency and use challenging cases of. And then we work to fix it with our BIM solutions.
