Masato Someya is a Partner at Roland Berger's Tokyo office. He is a core member of the Industrials platform with a primary focus on Capital Goods. He has strong expertise in cross-border M&A (M&A strategy, CDD and PMI) and large-scale global transformation for a wide range of clients in the industrial space, in particular construction, homebuilding, building technology (elevators, HVAC etc.) and IT/OT (Operational technology) sectors.

In collaboration with Roland Berger's global expert teams, he strives to give his home country a strategic impact and aims to enhance Japanese firms' competitiveness in the global market. Before joining Roland Berger, he worked for a US consultancy. He holds a master's degree in physics from the University of Tokyo.
