Junior Data Engineer (all genders)

Job Description

As Junior Data Engineer (all genders) you are part of Roland Berger’s powerful and global IT team. Together with highly motivated colleagues you can contribute significantly to the digitalization of our company by developing ideas and delivering solutions for a secure, reliable, and leading-edge IT. 
With the help of your data engineering expertise, you work on effectively improving our data platform and preparing our data for reporting purposes to enable reliable and time-saving processes and high data quality to support right decisions. 

Your key responsibilities are:

•    Create and manage data processing pipelines in Azure SQL MI and MS fabric
•    Consolidate and harmonize data sources, design and implement efficient calculation engines 
•    Collect, transform, and store data from different applications for reporting using ETL services 
•    Monitor and improve quality and stability of existing data processing
•    Closely collaborate with other developers, architects, and stakeholders in an agile environment
 

Qualifications

•    Master, Bachelor, or outstanding apprenticeship in a relevant subject, preferably in the field of computer science, business informatics, automation technology or equivalent

•    Experience with CI / CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps or comparable platforms and first experience in build, control, integration, automation and/or orchestration tools

•    Enthusiastic about data processing pipelines, databases, SQL and efficient design of calculation engines with Microsoft Azure experience (preferably MS Fabric or its predecessors for data processing)

•    Basic conceptual and architectural skills and a high-quality awareness for clean software architecture and code

•    Effective communication skills in English, good German skills are a plus
