Roland Berger Shanghai officially recognized as APAC HQ

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants recently upgraded its Shanghai office to headquarters of Asia Pacific (APAC), with the global CEO Charles-Edouard Bouee heading the office. The Shanghai office's new status has been recognized and accredited by the Shanghai municipal government. Government recognition is extended to influential foreign-invested companies that serve local subsidiaries and have sizable operations in China.

Roland Berger's business in Asia began in 1983, with Shanghai as the entry point. The firm went on to open its Tokyo office in 1991, and operations in Asia has continued to expand ever since. Now, Roland Berger APAC has offices in 10 countries, covering 15 cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, Mumbai, Pune, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne. Prior to obtaining official recognition as the APAC HQ, Roland Berger Shanghai had long extended strong support to the region, providing training, coordinating marketing campaigns and deploying consultants for project work where needed.

Roland Berger 's over 600 employees in Asia are dedicated to contributing to local communities and economies through various social responsibility campaigns. Employees from the Shanghai office have received several awards in honor of their contributions to regional development. Official recognition of the office's new status, the first of its kind given to a foreign consultancy in Shanghai, will further enhance Roland Berger's profile in China.
