Markus Weiss
Markus Weiss is a Senior Partner at Roland Berger in Zurich in the Consumer sector, which encompasses Agriculture & Ingredients, Consumer Products, and Retail & Wholesale. He leads the Retail & Wholesale practice across the DACH region and is responsible for digital topics throughout the Consumer team.
His expertise lies at the intersection of Consumer and Digital, with a particular focus on the food segments grocery and drugstores, as well as the non-food segments furniture, DIY, and consumer electronics. Markus advises clients on a broad range of strategic and operational challenges, from growth strategy development to large-scale digital transformation programs. His core areas of expertise include value creation, target operating model design, and the application of digital technologies across the entire value chain.
Markus studied Computer Science at the University of Würzburg and the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a PhD in Information Management and Pervasive Computing from ETH Zurich. Throughout his academic career, he conducted research at leading international institutions, including ETH Zurich, the University of St. Gallen, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
