Nick Werner is a Principal in Roland Berger’s Berlin office and a member of the firm’s Digital platform. He specializes in Technology Performance including Value Creation, cost optimization and Due Diligence

His work focuses on translating technology into tangible operational and financial impact. This includes optimizing technology cost bases, identifying and implementing P&L improvement measures, redesigning IT operating models, increasing software development productivity, and reducing infrastructure and external service costs.

Nick also supports investors and management teams in technology- related due diligence. His assessments cover areas such as product and technology strategy, software architecture, development processes, technical debt, IT operations, cybersecurity, data and AI, and the scalability of technology organizations.

A further focus of his work is artificial intelligence. He supports companies in identifying and prioritizing AI use cases, developing implementation roadmaps, and translating AI opportunities into measurable efficiency improvements and business impact.
