Olaf Lawrenz

Olaf Lawrenz is a senior aerospace executive with extensive international experience in operations, manufacturing, final assembly, supply chain, aftermarket, and industrial transformation. Over the course of his career, he has led complex organizations through growth, restructuring and turnaround situations, always with a strong focus on delivery performance, profitability, customer confidence, and sustainable operational excellence.

Lawrenz has held executive leadership positions at international aerospace OEMs and suppliers. In these roles, he has been responsible for multi-site industrial operations, global final assembly line networks, aerostructures production, aftermarket organizations, and new aircraft programme ramp-ups.

A major part of his professional experience has been dedicated to improving operational performance under demanding conditions. He has successfully stabilized delivery performance in complex production environments – as demonstrated during his time at an international after sales company, where he led global spares operations and supported the PMI phase of this company. He has restored profitability in loss-making businesses, most notably leading a full restructuring of a large aerostructures business across Europe and North America. He has further improved cash generation through disciplined working capital management and supported production ramp-ups across international aerospace programmes, including responsibility for the final assembly lines across three continents.

In his last role as Chief Operating Officer with a regional aircraft OEM, he led the development of a greenfield final assembly line and supported the industrial ramp-up as well as the development of a new aircraft programme. This included responsibility for operations, engineering, certification and aftermarket strategy, as well as establishing the industrial system required for future growth.

Lawrenz is a Diplom Ingenieur for Electronics.
