Greetings from lock-down in Paris

Hello everyone,

I hope you are safe and sound?! It has been a while since I've written over here!

As you already know these last weeks have been unusual, since we have been confined at home and working fully remote during this time. Lock-down measures were quite notably strict in France (as in Spain and Italy), compared to Germany or Sweden, for example. Working from home was something quite new for me (and for the rest of my colleagues) but I can say that we were all pleasantly surprised of how productive and efficient we can be when working from home. We leveraged the new Microsoft Teams tool to its fullest and it has proved to be very useful (for meetings, working on same documents/presentations, and so on).

From a project perspective, I've been working on pharma/healthcare projects. This industry has showed to be very resilient in a time of crisis and there are quite a lot of projects running at this moment in the Paris office, despite the COVID-19 crisis. Also, the Roland Berger Paris office has also been strongly involved in pro bono projects for public institutions (Ministries, public hospitals, and so forth) to support them on different topics related to the COVID-19.

Despite the lock-down being lifted earlier this week, most of us are still working from home, at least for the coming month. I've been working from my place in Paris but some (lucky) colleagues of mine have been able to enjoy the calm and the nice background of the countryside/coast during this long lock-down.

I am looking forward to going back to the office and seeing my colleagues again, hopefully soon.

Take care and talk to you soon,
Souhayl
