Roland Berger Strategy Consultants elects new Partners

- Fifteen new Partners elected
- Five Partners promoted to next Partner level
Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has appointed fifteen international Partners and five Partners were promoted to the next Partner level. The new Partners are based at various company locations including Chicago, Moscow, Milan, Beijing, etc. The appointments were made at the company's International Partner Meeting in Munich in December and will strengthen Roland Berger's shareholder base and worldwide presence.
Justo Alcocer
Justo Alcocer (45) is joining the Madrid Partner team.
He studied electrical engineering at the University Pontificia of Comillas in Madrid and received a Master's of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. His focus is on financial services, public sector, transportation strategy, business development, corporate redesign, marketing and sales and growth strategy. Before joining Roland Berger, Alcocer was Head of Corporate Development at a private Spanish bank group. He also has 15 years of consulting experience heading the European retail banking practice for a leading international strategy consultancy.
Krzysztof Badowski
Krzysztof Badowski (35) has been working in the Warsaw office since 2007. He holds an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. In Warsaw, he studied marketing and business management. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in management at Warsaw University. Before joining Roland Berger in 2007, he was Executive Director at a big Polish interim management company. He advises companies in the consumer goods and retail sector, focusing on strategy, sales and marketing and operational optimization.
Emmanuel Bonnaud
Emmanuel Bonnaud (40) is a new Partner in the Paris office. He works in the Corporate Finance and Restructuring Competence Center. He studied at the French Institute for Politics in Paris and holds a master's degree in economics and finance as well as a Master of Law and an MBA (HEC). His specialties are cash management/working capital reduction, operational restructuring/CRO and refinancing and distressed M&A.
Rodrigo Dantas e Silva
Rodrigo Dantas e Silva (35) has been with the company since 2007. He is a new Partner in the São Paulo office. He works primarily with companies in the financial services, infocom and technology sectors. His functional focus is on strategy, marketing and organizational design. He studied economics at the University of São Paulo before earning an MBA at the prestigious Brazilian business school Fundação Dom Cabral and did post-MBA studies on marketing and strategy at the Kellogg School of Business. Prior to joining Roland Berger, he was Head of Strategy for Financial Services at a global management consulting company. Prior to this, he was Products and Marketing Director at the largest credit card issuer in Brazil.
Jason Ding
Jason Ding (41) is a new Partner in Beijing. After his studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and at Tsinghua University in Beijing, he worked for several international consultancies. He served state-owned enterprises, private companies, multinationals and governments in both China and North America. His consulting experience covers corporate strategy, sales and marketing, governance and sustainability. His industry focuses are on telecom, high tech, consumer products and regional economic development.
Holger Dümler
Holger Dümler (34) has joined the Partner team in Frankfurt, where he works in the Financial Services Competence Center. After studying business administration and completing his dissertation on economics in Bayreuth, he started his consulting career at a major international consultancy. His specialties include post-merger integration, IT, corporate and retail banking and restructuring.
Marcin Dumania
Marcin Dumania (35) joins the Warsaw Partner team. After his studies in finance and banking at the Warsaw School of Economics, he worked for several international consultancy companies in Poland and the US. His consulting expertise is in financial services, strategy, risk management and process optimization.
Martin Eisenhut
Martin Eisenhut (45) worked at an engineered products company before studying computer science and business administration in Passau and Munich. In 1996, he started his consulting career at Roland Berger and left in 2002 as a Partner. After six years in leading positions in international management consultancies, he returned to Roland Berger as head of the Engineered Products/High Tech Competence Center. His expertise covers production systems, aerospace & defense, automotive supplier, B2B electronics & automation as well as microelectronics.
Thomas C. Knecht
Thomas C. Knecht (35) started working for the company's Corporate Performance Competence Center in January 2007 in Munich and Berlin. After getting his degree in business administration and law from the University of Munich, he earned a Ph.D. in corporate finance from the Wharton School in Philadelphia and the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. His professional career started in investment banking. Before joining Roland Berger, he worked for the restructuring practice of a competitor in Munich and New York. His expertise includes restructuring, strategic finance, distressed investments and mergers & acquisitions in various industries. He focuses on family businesses, mid-cap businesses and strategic finance investors.
Klaus Kremers
Klaus Kremers (39) has been working for the company since 2000 and is the new restructuring and turnaround Partner in London. He studied European business management in Worms (GER) and Mobile (US) before earning an MBA at the Nimbas Graduate Management School in Utrecht (NL). Prior to joining Roland Berger, he worked for an international consultancy in the corporate recovery and transaction services practices. His specialties include strategic, operational and financial restructuring, performance improvement programs, M&A/transaction services, stakeholder management and implementation management for a broad variety of industries.
Watson Liu
Watson Liu (40) is joining the Partner team in Beijing. After completing his BSc in statistics at North China University of Technology and MSc in supply chain management at Cranfield School of Management (UK), he earned his MBA at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He has nine years' experience leading international consultancies and seven years experience in serving two leading multinational corporations. He focuses on energy, utilities, chemicals, logistics and is a specialist in corporate strategy, operations strategy, supply chain and M&A.
Jochem Moerkerken
Jochem Moerkerken (36) has been with the company since 2002 and is a new Partner in Amsterdam. His clients are telecom operators and utility companies, electronic gaming and hi-tech companies, waste management companies and cable companies. He has a degree in electrical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
James Robert Nelles
James Robert Nelles (39) has joined the Chicago office of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants as a Partner. His consulting expertise covers strategic sourcing, low-cost country sourcing, supply chain management, manufacturing and sales & operations planning. He advises clients in the consumer goods, metals, chemicals, oil & gas, consumer electronics and high tech sectors. In addition to his consulting experience, he has worked in the engineering industry. Nelles studied economics at the Northwestern University and earned an MBA at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Torsten Oltmanns
Torsten Oltmanns (44) oversees global marketing as a new Partner in Hamburg. He studied economics in Cologne and is a trained business journalist. Before his consulting career, he worked for the German Ministry of Defense. He has been with the company since 2004.
Kai-Stefan Schober
Kai-Stefan Schober (39) is joining the Munich Partner team. He has been with the company since 2001. After working as a bank trainee in Paris, he studied business administration at Nuremberg and Sevilla and earned a Ph.D. His clients are mainly in the construction (materials) and infrastructure sectors as well as in industrial services.
Partners promoted to the next Partner level
Johannes Börner (39) is the Partner leading the financial services team in Moscow. He finished Eastern European Studies at the University of Bradford before earning an MBA degree at INSEAD in Fontainebleau. Besides his consulting career, he was also a Deputy CEO at a retail bank in the CIS.
Alexander Keller (44) earned a degree in chemistry from the University of Karlsruhe before studying business administration at the University of Hagen. He is a Partner in the Energy & Chemicals Competence Center in Düsseldorf and has been a consultant since 1991 and with the company since 1997. His main area of activity is in the chemicals & oil industry.
Olivier de Panafieu (38) works in the Paris office and has been with the company since 2000. He is focused on consumer goods & retail and private equity and his expertise is based on 14 years of consulting experience. Panafieu holds an MBA degree from the prestigious French business school HEC Paris.
Didier Tshidimba (37) is a Partner in the Brussels office. He has been with the company since 2000. His clients are railways, postal services and airlines as well as companies from the energy & chemicals sector. He studied philosophy and engineering at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
Christoph Winter (35) is a Partner in Financial Services in Munich. He studied business administration in Frankfurt/Main. He has been a consultant since 1999, advising primarily banks and insurance companies on strategy and organizational develop-ment, restructuring & corporate finance, process redesign and post-merger integration.
