Purchasing Excellence Study

2009

In 2008/2009 Roland Berger Strategy Consultants conducted for the third time since 1999 a comprehensive global study of trends and benchmarking in purchasing of productions materials and services & indirect materials. CEOs, COOs and purchasing managers of more than 500 companies were interviewed.

The objectives of the study are to identify the essential purchasing trends as well as important benchmarks in purchasing and procurement. The study also focuses on the direct impacts of the global financial and economic crisis.

To discover and evaluate general trends, we compare the results of the actual study with those of the previous purchasing excellence studies.
