Microsoft and Roland Berger launch inaugural intelligent manufacturing award in North America

Chicago, June 2026 – Microsoft and Roland Berger today announced the launch of the inaugural Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award (MIMA) North America 2026, a new platform recognizing manufacturers and industrial companies leading the next generation of intelligent operations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Building on the success of the award program in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, MIMA North America will spotlight organizations using artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, automation, digital twins, and intelligent industrial technologies to drive measurable impact across manufacturing, supply chains, engineering, procurement, and operations.
The 2026 MIMA North America award is open to companies across sectors, including automotive, aerospace & defense, industrial equipment, chemicals, energy, consumer products, life sciences, logistics, mining, and advanced technology industries.
Winners will be announced during the International Manufacturing Technology Show 2026 (IMTS 2026), one of the world’s premier manufacturing and industrial technology events, taking place in Chicago in September 2026.

In addition to category winners, one company will be recognized as the overall MIMA North America 2026 champion.
Finalists and winners will receive executive visibility, thought-leadership opportunities, networking access, and participation in the newly established MIMA Champions Circle North America—an exclusive community of industrial innovators and transformation leaders.
