Nicola Breyer

Nicola is a Senior Advisor to Roland Berger's Financial Services practice, with more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across financial services and technology. She advises clients on open finance strategy, AI implementation, and business transformation.

Having joined her first financial services business during the early internet era, Nicola went on to hold C-level and Managing Director roles at leading fintech and payments companies, including in BaFin-regulated institutions. She brings deep expertise in international strategy, fundraising, regulatory affairs, and organisational leadership.

Beyond her advisory work, Nicola serves on the boards of three technology companies, as well as on those of FRIDA (The Open Insurance Initiative in Germany) and the House of Finance & Tech, co-founded the German Open Finance Charta, and is an internationally recognised speaker and author on open data, AI in banking and embedded finance.
