Roland Berger hires new partners for Marketing & Sales Competence Center

Well-known marketing experts Steffen Weidemann and Dr. Andreas Kricsfalussy have been appointed as Roland Berger Partners

Steffen Weidemann (46) and Dr. Andreas Kricsfalussy (41) are joining Roland Berger Strategy Consultants as Partners. As of April 1, they will be members of the international strategy consultancy's Marketing & Sales Competence Center. Both will be based at Roland Berger's Düsseldorf office.

"Strategic brand management, marketing and sales are central to Roland Berger's consulting activities. We are taking on two experienced experts to strengthen our capabilities in a targeted manner and to accelerate growth," explains Kai Howaldt, head of the Marketing & Sales Competence Center.

Advertising specialist and business professional Steffen Weidemann began his career at the international advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather. He also spent four years as head of advertising and public relations at Hugo Boss. In 1993, he joined Steigenberger Hotels. By 1997, he had a top management position at ArabellaSheraton, where he was responsible for marketing and sales. He became chairman of Dorint AG in 1999 and most recently headed marketing and sales for Accor Dorint SMARD.

For years, Weidemann has dealt with such themes as positioning, brand re-launching, brand mergers, co-branding and re-branding. He has extensive top management experience, including implementing market strategies. Another focus of his work has been on brand integration as well as marketing and sales in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions.

Dr. Andreas Kricsfalussy holds a Ph.D. in business and began his career in the management faculty at the University of Düsseldorf. In 1994, he joined Droeger & Comp as a consultant. He was promoted to Principal in 1998 and Partner in 2001, and headed the firm's competence centers for HR management as well as marketing and sales.

Kricsfalussy has extensive experience in strategy and organization projects in various industries, including consumer goods and retail, insurance, telecommunications and engineered products. His work has mainly focused on sales organization and management, channel management and marketing efficiency.
