Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is looking for outstanding new consultants. For 2005, the international strategy consultancy plans a minimum of 120 new hires in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The financial services business segment is in particular need of more consultants. To introduce talented graduates to this demanding task, Roland Berger invites selected students to attend a workshop with experienced consultants. Under real-life conditions, participants will develop a market entry strategy for the Czech Republic for a pan-European bank. Their solutions will be presented to the Roland Berger experts. The workshop takes place at Villa Orange in Frankfurt/Main on June 27, 2005. University students in their sixth semester or later, graduates and postgraduates are welcome to apply by June 15, either online at www.rolandberger.com or by post.
"Advising international financial service providers is one of the business areas enjoying the strongest growth at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants," says Thomas Eichelmann, member of the Executive Committee and head of the Financial Services Competence Center. "With this workshop, we want to show talented graduates how exciting strategy consulting in the financial sector can be. The banking and insurance industry is experiencing the changes caused by globalization like no other industry. These changes throw up complex questions of strategy – an excellent opportunity for great consultants to start an international career."
First, experts from the Roland Berger Financial Services Competence Center explain the case to the workshop participants. Then, four teams analyze the Czech financial sector and the bank's current strategic situation. They develop concrete suggestions on how the pan-European bank should enter the market. Finally, the teams present their solutions to the Roland Berger banking experts.
In addition to team work, presentations and networking, the workshop participants also experience their fair share of fun, and a joint dinner in a relaxed atmosphere brings the day to a close. Thus, the "consultants for a day" get a first-hand look at what it's like to work in consulting.
Please see www.rolandberger.com for further information on the workshop and apply online or by post. Applications should be addressed to Ms. Astrid Zillner, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, Human Resources, Arabellastrasse 33, 81925 Munich, tel.: +49-89-9230-9124.
