Roland Berger Strategy Consultants opens office in Bahrain

Munich/Bahrain, April 13, 2006

  • Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has opened its first office in the Arab states, in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
  • The company now has 32 offices in 23 countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America and the Middle East.

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has been active in the Arab states since the late 1990s. Since 2004, the international strategy consultancy has been supporting companies and organizations in Bahrain, Qatar and the Emirates. "Having a branch in Manama means we can now support our clients in Bahrain and around the Persian Gulf even more effectively," says Dr. Martin Wittig, the Executive Committee member responsible for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants' activities in the Arab region. "The region has great development potential. Many Gulf states are expanding their business spectrum, away from oil and toward forward-looking segments like tourism, financial services and telecommunications. We assist companies and organizations here across all industries and functional issues with our broad-based management expertise, strategic know-how and international and local experience," Wittig explains.

Three experienced Partners and their teams are involved in setting up the office. "We chose Bahrain because the market is interesting, the legal system is reliable and the business climate is excellent and business friendly," explains Michael Wette, Partner and Managing Director, Middle East, at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
