Partners elect global Executive Committee and Supervisory Board in Paris

• Partners elect the Executive Committee (EC) and Supervisory Board
• Continuity: All six EC members confirmed; Burkhard Schwenker remains CEO and António Bernardo his deputy
• Roland Berger elected once again as Chairman of the five-member Supervisory Board

The Partners at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants met in Paris last Saturday to elect the Executive Committee and Supervisory Board. The six incumbent members of the Executive Committee (EC) were confirmed. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker (Hamburg) remains CEO of the EC and António Bernardo (Lisbon) his deputy. Thomas Eichelmann (Munich), Vincent Mercier (Paris), Dirk Reiter (Munich) and Dr. Martin C. Wittig (Zurich) will also remain on the EC. Furthermore, the Partners summoned the five-member Supervisory Board and confirmed Prof. Roland Berger as its Chairman. Karl-Josef Kraus and Tijo Collot d'Escury (Amsterdam) remain members of the Supervisory Board, while Isao Endo (Tokyo) and Veit Schwinkendorf (Düsseldorf) have been newly elected.

Accordingly, the "new, old" Executive Committee (EC) includes: Dr. Burkhard Schwenker (48), Chairman of the Executive Committee. The coming term will be Dr. Schwenker's third as EC member and second as CEO. His deputy António Bernardo (47) heads the Portuguese office of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Thomas Eichelmann (41) heads the global Financial Services Competence Center. Vincent Mercier (57) heads Roland Berger's Paris office as well as the Franco-Belgian region. Dirk Reiter (42) is Head of the global InfoCom Competence Center, and Dr. Martin C. Wittig (42) is Chief Financial Officer and heads Roland Berger's Swiss business. All EC members also have further regional and functional responsibilities.

New Supervisory Board also elected

The Partners of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants also elected a new Supervisory Board. Company founder and Chairman Prof. Roland Berger (69) will continue to chair the Board. The Partners also elected the following members: Karl-Josef Kraus (53), who built up the restructuring business in Germany; Tijo Collot d'Escury (40), Head of the Amsterdam office; Isao Endo (50), who played key role in building up the Tokyo office; and Veit Schwinkendorf (41), who represents Roland Berger's energy and chemicals business.

The variety of nationalities, age groups and backgrounds represented on the EC and Supervisory Board accurately reflects the structure of the world's leading strategy consultancy of European origin. It also ensures that the Partnership remains on a successful path, the Partners explained at the meeting.
