Corporate growth through internationalization in emerging markets
Markus Strietzel
2005
Many companies have reached their growth limits in their domestic markets. This has led to numerous strategies focusing on international markets, especially emerging markets. These are regions following the typical path of development into industrial nations and include countries such as China, India, Russia, Poland and Brazil.
Markus Strietzel empirically analyzes the fundamental structural designs of international strategies pursued by German companies in these countries. Taking the theories of international and strategic management into account, he identifies strategic behavioral differences and less successful companies by using a neo-contingency theoretical analysis approach.
