"Roland Berger is a place where I can be myself, learn from the people around me, and carve out my own experience. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute early, get involved in projects I care about, and build meaningful connections along the way. That combination has made my experience at Roland Berger incredibly rewarding."
Why Roland Berger?
Roland Berger values diversity of thought and identity, and I feel like I am a good example of that. My background in environmental science and sustainability is not the traditional path into consulting, and I’ve been able to bring that perspective into my work at the firm. At the same time, my queer identity is genuinely accepted and valued here. I think Roland Berger recognizes that having people with different backgrounds and perspectives ultimately leads to better ideas and better solutions. Rather than expecting everyone to fit the same mold, the firm creates space for people to bring their own perspectives to the table.
What makes Roland Berger special for me?
Roland Berger is filled with incredibly smart, interesting, and engaging people who constantly inspire me to think creatively and be a better version of myself. I’ve always loved being part of a team, having grown up playing team sports, and I really value that same sense of collaboration at Roland Berger. There’s a strong feeling that everyone has a role to play, and that success comes from bringing those strengths together. For me, that makes the people I work with one of the best parts of being at the firm.
What is it like to be out at Roland Berger?
Honestly, before joining Roland Berger, I didn’t think being queer was a particularly significant part of my identity. It was through the people I met at the firm, my fellow JustBe Americas members, the broader global JustBe community, and the culture of inclusion around me that I found more space to embrace and appreciate that part of who I am. Today, being out at Roland Berger feels completely natural. I’m able to openly be who I am and have found a community that has made being part of the LGBTQ+ community a really meaningful part of my experience at the firm.
