"Authenticity over conformity - Roland Berger empowers me to bring my true self to work, rather than conforming to a rigid consulting mold."
Why Roland Berger?
Roland Berger strikes the perfect balance - large enough to compete on a global stage, yet ‘small’ enough that you can genuinely connect with and get to know the people around you. This unique size fosters meaningful relationships across borders, something rare in the consulting world.
What resonates with me most, however, is Roland Berger's deeply entrepreneurial culture. From early on, we are empowered to take real ownership of our work and deliver creative, pragmatic solutions that create tangible impact for clients.
What does “Be the Original You” mean to you?
Authenticity over conformity - Roland Berger empowers me to bring my true self to work, rather than conforming to a rigid consulting mold. What truly stands out is the remarkable diversity I encountered across the firm and across the globe: people with distinct backgrounds, perspectives, and skillsets, each contributing their unique voice to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
How do you contribute uniquely to your team’s success?
My unique contribution is deeply rooted in my personality and leadership philosophy: I lead with heart. I am a strong advocate for human-centered leadership - creating an environment where people feel genuinely valued, heard, and motivated. That said, leading with heart does not mean lowering the bar. I hold both myself and my team to high standards and expectations. I firmly believe that when people feel supported and trusted, they don't just meet expectations - they exceed them, and the collective output becomes truly extraordinary.
What has been the most valuable lesson you’ve learned since joining Roland Berger?
The most valuable lesson I've learned is this: trust yourself, and let communication be your bridge. Early on, it's easy to second-guess your instincts in such a high-caliber environment - but I quickly realized that self-belief is not arrogance; it's a prerequisite for impact.
Equally transformative was understanding that communication is not just a soft skill - it's the foundation of everything. Whether aligning a team, managing a client, or navigating complex challenges, clear and confident communication is what turns good thinking into real results.
What have you experienced at Roland Berger that university never prepared you for?
University prepared me for many things - but it never prepared me to become my own personal travel agent. Over the time at RB, I developed a whole new skillset: optimizing flight connections like it's an Olympic sport and mentally mapping the most efficient route between three cities in two days before my morning coffee.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining Roland Berger?
My biggest advice: be intentionally curious about the people, not just the firm. Make it a priority to connect with individuals across all levels - from Consultants and Project Managers to the Management Team. Each perspective will give you a different lens into Roland Berger's culture, and together they paint a far richer and more authentic picture than any brochure ever could. These conversations will not only help you understand who we truly are as a firm, but also reveal the diversity of minds and backgrounds that make Roland Berger such a unique place to grow.
