Chulmin is a Partner in Roland Berger’s Tokyo office. Before joining Roland Berger, he headed both divisions of the investment and value‑creation at a PE fund in Japan. As board member and executive officer at multiple portfolio companies, he led business transformations and global organizational restructuring, increased revenue, EBITDA, and free cash flow, raised capital efficiency and returns (ROE, ROIC, PBR, PER, etc.), and achieved IPOs at the Tokyo Stock Exchange, delivering corporate value creation and equity value enhancement for portfolio companies.
Earlier, he worked at global management consulting firms, leading engagements such as restructuring, growth strategy, operational improvement, cost optimization, M&A, and post‑merger integration (PMI). He began his career at a major electronics manufacturer, working in domestic sales and launching new overseas businesses.
Chulmin holds a Bachelor of Business from Asia University and an MBA from Hitotsubashi University Business School (Hitotsubashi ICS). He completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania.
