Elsy Dumit

Elsy is an experienced Health, Life Sciences, and Biotechnology Strategy Consulting Principal. She has worked directly with governmental, public, and third-sector organizations in the GCC. A thought leader and subject matter expert, she specializes in public health, biotechnology, health policy, emergency preparedness and response, humanitarian assistance, infectious diseases, digital health/eHealth, the future of health, research, and strategy.
Among her most notable engagements, Elsy has led the development of a national strategy for integrative medicine, a national digital health policy and strategy, and advisory initiatives on advanced technologies for synthetic biology. She also played a key role in creating a national strategy for an international humanitarian and philanthropic council, designing and establishing a government entity for Health in All Policies, developing an innovation strategy and operating model for health and well-being, and implementing a national public health strategy, among many others.
Previously, Elsy worked at a leading international public health organization, where she contributed to efforts in communicable disease surveillance, health policy, bioethics, and research. She was also part of a global alert and response team focused on infectious disease outbreaks. Additionally, she served as a regional focal point for digital health initiatives and as a liaison for immunization programs at a major global health institution.
Elsy earned her Master of Public Health, with a focus on Health in Crisis and Humanitarian Assistance, from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, with a concentration in Biotechnology and Global Health, from the Georgetown University Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
A peer-reviewed scientific author, her research has been featured in high-impact journals covering public health, medicine, and biotechnology. Additionally, she has served as a guest lecturer at James Madison University and Qatar University.
