Gerd Christian Finck

Gerd Christian Finck is a Director at Roland Berger’s Düsseldorf office and a member of the global Transaction & Investor Services platform.

Gerd joined Roland Berger in 2025 and brings more than 24 years of international experience in consulting and corporate M&A. He offers deep expertise in transaction structuring and execution, business valuation, and negotiation. His focus areas include complex transactions such as carve-outs and divestitures, integrations, and joint ventures and alliances.

Together with his teams and in close collaboration with clients, Gerd has successfully delivered numerous high-impact projects across multiple industries, including energy, automotive and assembly, travel and tourism, and retail and grocery. His work has enabled clients to navigate strategic transformations, unlock value, and achieve sustainable growth.

Before joining Roland Berger, Gerd was part of the global leadership of the M&A practice at a globally leading strategy consulting firm, where he contributed to shaping standardized approaches to separations, carve-outs, and partnerships. Earlier in his career, he gained first-hand experience in the execution of high-stakes M&A transactions in various corporate roles, including Vice President of Corporate Development at one of Europe’s leading tour operators and travel service providers, Head of M&A at an international retail group, and Project Manager M&A at one of Europe’s largest energy suppliers. He began his professional journey in the Valuation & Strategy service line at a leading Big Four consultancy.

Gerd holds a degree in Economics from the Universidad Piloto de Colombia and is a native speaker of German and Spanish. He has extensive international project experience and is passionate about working closely with clients to deliver pragmatic solutions that create lasting value.
