Spencer Gore

Spencer Gore joins the Automotive team as a Partner, bringing deep expertise in advanced battery technologies, electric vehicles, and mobility innovation. With a career spanning leadership roles in pioneering energy and transportation companies, Spencer has driven product development and commercialization strategies for next-generation EV systems and high-performance energy storage solutions.

He previously founded and led two technology ventures, including a battery materials startup and an electric aircraft company, raising over $25 million in capital and securing partnerships with leading OEMs. Spencer also served as Head of EV Products at a cutting-edge battery manufacturer, where he negotiated joint development agreements with global automakers and developed comprehensive technoeconomic models for EV cells. Earlier in his career, he contributed to battery design and thermal systems at a leading global electric vehicles manufacturer and to avionics engineering at a global market leader in private spaceflight, rocket manufacturing, and space transportation services.

Spencer holds an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University, a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and is currently completing his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is an inventor on multiple battery and structural technology patents and has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 and Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40.
