Research Financial Analyst (all genders)
Bucharest
For our Global Research Team, we are looking for an ambitious Financial Analyst to join our Research Team in Bucharest, Romania. Our team provides research support to all Roland Berger offices globally. As Financial Analyst you will support consulting teams with research of financial data and in-depth financial analysis as well as market assessments for various industry to support Transactions (M&A), Corporate Performance, and Pricing projects. Besides conducting information searches and analyses, you will carry out short-term project tasks and support internal studies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting company, market, and industry research and analysis to identify relevant drivers and trends
- Evaluating companies and business models across various industries through financial analysis
- Performing information searches and analyze quantitative and qualitative data
- Calculating key financial indicators, metrics, and benchmarks, and conduct complex financial analyses
- Utilizing professional databases, especially financial databases, eg. Bloomberg, CapIQ, Moodys
- Supporting internal studies and product development
- Contributing to internal knowledge management
Qualifications
- Outstanding business economics degree from a university or international business school
- First professional experience in Corporate Finance or M&A, e.g., at auditing firms, investment banks, financial investors, or consulting companies
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, strategic and entrepreneurial thinking, and a high level of service orientation and flexibility
- Proficiency in MS Office and professional financial databases like CapIQ, Moodys, Bloomberg etc.;
- Structured and goal-oriented working style, with friendly and open communication
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Romanian, additional language skills in German and / or French are desirable
