"To me, 'Be the Original You' means having the courage to discover your unique core - values, strengths, and passions - and then deliberately building your path from that foundation. "
Why Roland Berger?
When I did my internship at Roland Berger many years ago, I realized that consultants aren’t just analysts - they are thought partners and co-creators who generate real value and impact for their clients. At Roland Berger, I was really inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of our partners and colleagues, and the commitment to pragmatic, actionable strategies, which is exactly the career growth I am looking for.
What does “Be the Original You” mean to you?
To me, “Be the Original You” means having the courage to discover your unique core - values, strengths, and passions - and then deliberately building your path from that foundation. It is the process of accepting and trusting this authenticity to unleash your full potential. Roland Berger provides a great platform for the diverse experiences and challenges that help you test, refine, and express this original self in the world.
What are you most enthusiastic about in your role?
What excites me most as a consultant is the continuous learning process. I get to dive into all kinds of topics – from global trends to how a single company operates, from the history to the future. For me, this isn’t just about collecting facts; it’s about building an understanding of how the world works and why it works in this way. It is like putting together a very large puzzle (and that puzzle continuously gets bigger). That bigger picture not only helps me solve the problems in my working life but also gives me a much wiser lens for making my own life decisions.
What have you experienced at Roland Berger that university never prepared you for?
In university, problems came with textbooks and case studies designed to lead to a “perfect” answer that you could prove was right. At Roland Berger, I learned that as a consultant, there is no ready-made or perfect answer waiting to be discovered. Instead, we become the architects and creators of solutions.
What’s the most memorable team event or social activity you’ve attended at Roland Berger?
In 2018, our project won the internal Roland Berger Project of the Year Award. Therefore, our team was invited to the internal Partner Leadership Camp in Singapore. That experience was so memorable for me, as it was the first time I met nearly all the partners of Roland Berger. What struck me most was their exceptional blend of confidence, passion, and genuine entrepreneurship. This directly impacted my own career by inspiring me to approach every challenge with a greater sense of ownership and courage.
