Rob Henske named a 2026 Top Consultant by Consulting Magazine

Chicago, May 15, 2026

Robert Henske, Senior Partner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Roland Berger, has been named one of Consulting Magazine’s 2026 Top Consultants in the Strategy & Transformation category.

The annual awards highlight individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and the ability to deliver transformative results in an increasingly complex global business environment. As Consulting Magazine notes, honorees are recognized for “their ability to innovate, deliver the highest levels of client service and affect positive change” across their clients, firms, and the broader industry, representing the very best of what it means to be a “trusted advisor.”

Published for more than 25 years, Consulting Magazine is one of the leading global publications covering the business of management consulting. Its annual Top Consultants awards were introduced in 2000.

For Henske, the recognition reflects a career defined not just by advising on transformation, but by building it from the inside out.

Driving transformation at scale

During his tenure as Managing Partner in North America, Henske led a comprehensive leadership and governance transformation that reshaped Roland Berger’s trajectory. At the core was a rigorous, fact-based strategic process that mirrored the firm’s client work, resulting in a seven-pillar strategy that continues to guide the firm globally today.

The impact was significant: under this strategy, North America evolved from the firm’s 31st largest region to its second largest, achieving more than 20 percent compound annual growth.

Reflecting on the recognition, Henske emphasized the collective nature of transformation:

“This recognition reflects the great teams I’ve worked with. Real change comes from building strong organizations, clear strategy, and disciplined execution.”

A well-deserved recognition

Today, as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Henske continues to shape the firm’s direction while championing the next generation of leadership. His advocacy for governance mechanisms such as term limits reflects a belief that sustained success requires both continuity and renewal.

The systems and strategies he helped establish remain embedded in Roland Berger’s operating model — evidence of a leadership approach designed not just for immediate results, but for long-term resilience. Stephan Keese, Henske’s successor as Roland Berger’s Managing Partner in North America, highlighted the broader impact of Henske’s leadership:

“Rob’s impact on Roland Berger, and on our clients, has been profound. He combines deep industry expertise with a proven ability to turn strategy into tangible results. The growth and strength of our North America business today are a direct reflection of the foundations he built.”

Henske’s inclusion in Consulting Magazine’s 2026 Top Consultants list places him among a select group of leaders defining the future of the profession, and he will be formally recognized at an awards dinner in New York City this June.

For Roland Berger, it is also a reflection of the firm’s broader commitment: turning strategy into results, and transformation into sustained performance.
